Android/artist in the new multimedia era

Abstract

The language of the new art (new time) is multimedia. The future was transformed into a continuous integration of all currently significant narratives. Multimedia implies the digitalization of art beyond the framework of instrumentalization and beyond the time. The main idea of the modern art is the “time-based art”. In the proposed context of this study, this term receives a new relevance, as the technologization and digitalization of art move into the section of work with time, they document and archive time. It reflects our current historical moment. A living person is no longer different from their prototype, android, or media image. In this work, we determine the possibility of considering at the stage of the android art entering into our everyday life that the difference between the inanimate and the living no longer matters. At this point the art becomes historically modern. It creates new experiences and new psychological patterns. The process of replacing a human actor in a full-fledged performance is not just a demonstration of the robot’s abilities, it is a revolution both in art and cybernetics, which anticipates a new step in development of artificial intelligence.
