Сurrent issues of additional acting education: Teaching experience
Abstract
The article presents the experience
of the Department of Acting and Directing
of the Graduate School of Performing Arts
in the implementation of the professional
retraining program for actors as an opportunity for additional professional education of students whose activities are related
to theatre, theatre pedagogy.
The specifics of retraining in acting skills
consist of the concentration and intensity of training, so it is important that students have a specialized education or work
experience in amateur theatre. Group are
the students aged 30-40, who have gained
a certain acting experience, begin to feel
the need for further training, improvement
of acting techniques.
One of the most important tasks
of the training is to present to the audience the basics of acting, the true essence
of the Stanislavsky system. Among
the many provisions of his teaching,
the emphasis is placed on two laws: compositional analysis and event-based analysis. A detailed description of these
laws, updating the concepts of “proposed circumstances”, “initial event”,
“task”, “action”, “actors”, “character”, “interaction”, “conflict”, etc. prepares
the theoretical basis for the next stage
of professional retraining-practical work.
A significant part of the classroom time
is devoted to this, as well as independent
work.
Through the exercises on attention, focus,
willpower, concentration, pre-essay exercises, preparation of essay for imagination, observation, on a given topic, essay
for images from literary works, students
develop a number of necessary acting
qualities.
Serious attention is also paid to the overall organization of training, which
ensures active professional communication of course participants with each other
and with teachers.
